Acorns + Thanksgiving = Match Made in Heaven
Thanksgiving is one of our favorite holidays, and we hope to encourage a new Thanksgiving tradition of enjoying acorn crackers before the big family feast. Actually, eating acorns on Thanksgiving is more like reviving an old tradition, as it is believed acorns were eaten at the first Thanksgiving, being a common food source to the Native Americans and Pilgrims. Acorns drop in the fall and are symbols of the season. We think of leaves changing colors on beautiful red oaks and squirrels caching their acorns for the winter. Now, as we wait for the turkey or tofurky to finish cooking, we can gather round a platter of delicious, nutty acorn crackers paired with hummus, earthy cheeses & vegan cheeses, butternut squash dip, and other festive fall spreads!
Additionally, Thanksgiving is not only a day where we get to stuff our faces full of nostalgic dishes, but it is also a time for reflection. This year we have a lot to be thankful for, such as a business we are passionate about and a successful Kickstarter campaign launch. But every year, we are most thankful for the love and support of our family and friends. This year in particular, we are tremendously grateful for our AMAZING spouses. They have encouraged and trusted us on our Mighty Wild adventure every step of the way. We are fortunate to have you!
Happy Thanksgiving to All!
